M1914 NORWEGIAN 11.25 mm slide dated 1942

The M1914 11.25mm Norwegian Kongsberg Colten (Norwegian Colt in .45 ACP). This example was produced in 1942 and as the factory letter shows it was given the final inspection on May 11th 1942. The pistol is unique in may ways, it has several parts all serialed with the same number, the wooden grips( which are period correct) still have traces of the factory black paint, the mag is also correct with the period lanyard loop. The slide stop is also different from the US property marked guns. The germans controlled the factory at Kongsberg and these pistols were made under their occupation. Pistols made under german control were slide dated 1941,1942 and again made in 1945 but those were inspector proofed that year.  No 1943 dated pistols are known. These guns are seldom encountered in the collector market.
